Big East Lake, Payson Canyon – September 2025
On this autumn day at Big East Lake, the sky transformed into a dramatic tapestry—shifting clouds, patches of blue, and a light that seemed to breathe with every passing minute. When the wind softened, the lake became a perfect mirror, duplicating the sky with astonishing clarity. It was as if nature wanted to emphasize its message by presenting it twice.
Along the road to this lake lies an expanse once burned by a lightning-caused fire, now in visible stages of renewal. Standing before this reflection, I felt that contrast profoundly: destruction and restoration coexisting in one landscape. Sky Painted Twice captures that fragile balance and the quiet resilience that continues to shape this place.
Product Qualities:
A symmetrical blend of sky and water creates a visually immersive composition, where cloud formations and forested shorelines meet seamlessly at the horizon. The reflective quality of the lake intensifies the contrast between storm-laden skies and emerging autumn color.
This artwork brings depth, movement, and introspection into any space—ideal for collectors drawn to dramatic natural atmospheres and symbolic visual narratives.
